Thankfully, although each task has a backstory which details what the homeowner wants you to do, the game provides handy checklists for each of the jobs so you don’t forget what you’re supposed to be doing – this is both a good and bad thing. House Flipper manages to scratch a specific itch, but it lacks long-term incentives and just generally feels like a missed opportunity.

You can even hire other workers to help you out on bigger projects, adding to the overall sense of realism.It’s not clearly stated, but it’s a rather simple one: To complete House Flipper you will need to sell one of every house. Some of the tasks get a bit boring and repetitive, but it's a nice break for him from Fortnite and Minecraft. HGTV is an American TV channel – so not one I’m familiar with – but the concept of the DLC is brilliant. Other than that – you can pretty much install plumbing, appliances, furniture, walls, and doors wherever you want. If you are a fan of home renovation shows or just have an itch to transform a space, then House Flipper on PS4 is the perfect game for you!

There are a few missing features and mechanics which I would have loved to see, but regardless, the entire experience is very relaxing and strangely satisfying. I’m pretty big on my switch games so I bought myself this game for Christmas, expecting hours of fun like power wash simulator. Thanks to Pets DLC you'll have a chance to take care of a lovely companion and have a wonderful time together! Besides that, there’s no direction or advice to give you as this game is all about flipping houses your own way.

However, if you play games mainly at night – like me – then it’ll always be dark, so you may want to disable it from time to time so it doesn’t feel like a horror game.
