Alas, it looks like they couldn’t get the ‘Roll up your sleeves’ song from ‘I Can Cook’ (which would have been the best thing ever) but a big huge hurrah, as this new compilation – released today – has the Cbeebies presenters songs included for the first time – something these compilations have been missing for a while. I'm a childminder and its even a hit with the children I look after to put on in the play room when they are playing, or to play musical instruments along to it. This CD has been played numerous times since we got it and as soon as little man hears the music fill the room his body moves to the rhythm and the beat of the music. He soon overcame his confusion why the shows were not on the TV and happily pranced and danced around the room the songs on the album. Alongside books, puzzles, films and cooking, it is a form of an escapism, which I define as a positive thing, as it allows me to recharge the batteries.I appreciate that I am not the X-factor or Britain's Got Talent Material, but I can't be that bad, can I? Other than that it's new shows, different songs from within the shows, and happily some of the other CBeebies songs - including our favourites, The Winter Song, and Goodbye Sun, Hello Moon. As little man loves music I was pleased when we were given the chance to review a brand new album filled with songs from the popular TV channel CBeebies. After a few more plays of the CD she was able to understand the difference between the music on CD and the television. Having not listened to the album before we then proceeded to make a game of guess the next song, which was actually more difficult than it sounds, but perfect entertainment for a long drive.
