The epilogue is something book lovers dream about and being that we are both readers first and reviewer/bloggers second, we can tell you that this book completely captivated us and it’s the thing book memories are made of. Most of you already know Will and Layken and all the other characters from the Slammed Series (if you don’t then pick this series up now! I hate saying it, or saying something about anyone else's writing which various people can find value even with its qualms, but I think someone has to. That grab a hold of my heart so strongly that a year later, I can just pick the books up and the emotions are right THERE.If you fail to comply with this obligation, we may have a right of action against you for compensation.
For a while I tried to alternate reading the scenes here and the equivalent scenes in Slammed but go too lazy and figured, this should stand on its own merits outside that book.But before starting This Girl, I didn’t have time to reread either of them and I wondered if I’d be able to connect to it as strongly as I did to the first two. The death of my parents, the anger I held toward them, the amount of responsibility I now face, the fact that I’m all Caulder has—and she’s still looking at me with hope in her tear-filled eyes. Atria Books published This Girl, the third and final installment in the Slammed series, on April 30, 2013. There were secrets revealed, and many feelings divulged that shed new light on their relationship and their love for each other.
Which was sweet, and I liked it for a while, but it just got too relentless for me to feel anything else but fatigue over that emotion (gasp! It actually takes place after Point of Retreat and is a continuation of their story in that respect. There's really not much more to say, the majority of us know Lake and Will's story, and for a retelling CoHo did an amazing job.Everything was just so emotionally charged – the flirting, the introduction, the crushing, the chemistry, the sheer, raw, passionate intensity that just rolled off the page.
