JBL Free II - Small true wireless earbuds with Bluetooth and 24-hour battery, with charging case, in black
About this deal
Immediately paired as soon as you flip open the case, each earbud of the JBL Free II can be used independently in mono or stereo mode, saving battery life. They are compact truly wireless in-ears that you can have on you at all times and they're stable enough for sports and casual use.
Update 06/17/2019: We've updated the Base/Dock box to show that the JBL Free have a charging case that has no input. I started trying to create a custom EQ curve, but no matter what, it seemed to emphasize unpleasant frequencies. They also do not have any special battery features like the Xfyro xS2 which have a power bank that can recharge some of your devices, although it's not the biggest battery pack for that use case. Dual connect makes your life easier – The JBL Free II instantly pair to your Android device as soon as the earbuds are out of the case. We've updated the Base/Dock score of this review to reflect what a truly wireless charging case should be scoring. Their high-mid/low-treble is a bit recessed, which may make some instruments and vocals sound slightly distant. Moreover, being closed back further empowers you to notice all the details by eliminating most external noise.
Quickly matched when you flip open the case, each earbud of the JBL Free II In-Ear Truly Wireless Earbuds with Mic can be utilized autonomously in mono or sound system mode, saving battery life. The Free II are a pair of in-ear bluetooth headphones that got distributed in 2020 and manufactured by JBL. They have a fairly unique design which makes them a bit more compact than other truly wireless headphones but also a bit less stable.
If I had to pick an area where the Live Free 2 earbuds shine brightest, it's the noise cancellation. The wide and shallow dip around 5KHz, will have a subtle but negative effect on the detail and presence of vocals and lead instruments. The stick closed design with oval tubes ensure better noise cancellation and enhanced audio quality for those who prefer a cleaner aesthetic. Super comfortable with ear tips in 3 sizes, their worry-free IPX4 certified design keeps the music playing through sunshine and rain.Unfortunately, they also have an unstable wireless connection and way too much latency for watching videos. It supports up to 24 Mbit/s of theoretical transfer rates, has low energy consumption and limits signal interference by detecting crowded wavelengths and circumnavigating them.
