About this deal

Although the Nuby travel booster seat is made of water-resistant polyester and so can be wiped down with a wet cloth after meals, it is not as easy to clean as plastic seats. Perhaps it doesn’t fit your requirements as expected, you’ve had a change of plans or you’ve simply changed your mind. Having taken several holidays with our two-and-a-half-year-old son, I have built up a good collection of toddler travel essentials. This year we went on holiday with our newest addition, our eight-month-old daughter. I realized we needed a few more essentials to enable a smooth holiday abroad. One such item was a travel high chair that would work for both a baby and toddler. At home I have the Ingenuity SmartClean Toddler Booster Seat for my toddler. For my daughter, I use the Mamas and Papas bud 2-in-1 booster seat. While both of these work well at home and I can easily fit them in my car when traveling to family, neither is ideal for getting on a plane or international travel. In this post, I’ll share our recent experience using the Nuby Easy Go Booster Seat for travel with a baby and toddler. I share what we loved about this travel booster seat and the situations where it didn’t work quite as well as we had hoped.

The booster may come with a tray that can slide on and off of the front of the seat, much like a standard high chair, or it may be designed for you to push the chair right up to the table without needing a tray at all. These types of chairs are usually pretty bulky, so they aren’t great for restaurants but work well for visits to friends or family members’ homes.

Also, make sure the seat’s fabric is strong and secure since it will be supporting your child’s weight. Different high chairs have different weight and age parameters so ensure your baby meets these and is showing signs of readiness for a high chair before buying.

Dexter was a toddler when we started using this seat with him, but I was aware it could be used from six months onwards. When we travelled to Spain last summer, Felix was eight months old and we used the Nuby travel booster seat every single day. It is an invaluable tool to take away with you on holiday as it means you never have to worry about finding a highchair when you go out to eat or paying extra to have one in your apartment. While we understand that being without your pram is inconvenient, we do not have any capacity to provide a pushchair or pram lending service. Little Angels Prams act only as a go-between, your warranty is with the brand who manufactures your pushchair. Allrepairs are undertaken by the manufacturer, independent of Little Angels Prams, but we will facilitate all collections and repairs. No longer do we need to worry if our favourite restaurant has a high chair available for us, the Nuby travel booster seat folds up to create a small satchel which you can conveniently carry on your shoulder along with your changing bag. Other features include a removable tray and fabric seat cover. The tray can be used for eating or removed so your baby can scoot right up to the table. It has three different position options and is dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning.Overall, I think the Nuby travel booster seat is a very useful travel seat to have when on holiday if you have mixed age children and want a compact option for a baby or toddler. It’s especially good for toddlers 12 months to 18 years old, who don’t need the tray as much and can reach the table. Instead of pushing up to a table, this type of chair comes with a tray and sits right on the floor. They can be small or closer to the size of a standard high chair but easily break down for travel. Since there are multiple variations of floor chairs, there are a lot of different uses for them. They’re especially good for outdoors where there may not be a standard table and/or chair to attach a travel seat to. While there are often high chairs available at cafes and hotels, they aren’t always age appropriate. My toddler is not a big fan of high chairs any more, as he feels he is more grown up now. We also find that some of the high chairs aren’t supportive enough for our daughter. At home I use 2 different seats to meet their different needs, and neither are very portable for flights. My two year old uses a booster seat at home as he isn’t always tall enough to reach the table. With our baby now eating solid foods, she needs a seat that gives lots of support as she is still not full stable sitting up.

Most of our prams and pushchairs include a manufacturer’s warranty. This means that for the time period of the warranty, if something goes wrong you are entitled to request a repair. The Munchkin Brica toddler travel booster is recommended for toddlers 12 to 36 months and up to 50 lbs. By comparison, the Nuby Easy Go Booster can be used starting at 9 months old and up to a max weight of 55 lbs. While this stability helps with tipping, your baby can push away from the able using ANY travel high chair, so you should always be near your baby when using one. However, many of these kinds of seats are designed for babies, so they aren’t good for families with toddlers. Finally, regardless of the type of high chair you get, it should have some kind of harness to keep your kid in the seat. Children shouldn’t be able to crawl or wiggle out of the chair due to the potential risk of injury. It’s also important to note that parents should never leave their babies unattended or let them sleep in any high chair.

The Nuby is a cheaper option than the hiccapop, which can be a big consideration if you don’t know how much you’ll use it. Otherwise, the hiccapop with it’s removable, machine-washable fabric, compact folded size, recommended age of 6 months+ and a lifetime guarantee make the hiccapop Omniboost a preferred option over the Nuby. All the comparable products below can be taken apart to get to the hard to reach places which often collect crumbs in corners or around the straps. The Nuby seat does not come apart so it makes it slightly less easy. However, it is still easier to clean on holiday than a fabric option where we did not have access to a washing machine as the material is water-resistant. Suitability for Babies Eating Solid Foods We will, however, communicate with your pushchair manufacturer on your behalf to help ensure a smooth and efficient repair service. The hiccapop OmniBoost can be used from 6 months to 3 years old, compared to the Nuby that can be used starting at 9 months old. The hiccapop also has a much higher max weight. Two other benefits of the hiccapop OmniBoost vs the Nuby Easy Go is that the hiccapop comes with a removable tray plus it can be folded into a carry bag making it more portable when traveling.
