Junior Choice is a BBC Radio programme originally broadcast from 1967 until 1982 with Christmas specials from 2007 until 2015 and again since 2017. Originally broadcast on the BBC Light Programme on Saturday mornings from 9.10 to 9.55 (later, 9.00–10.00), and later BBC Radio 1, and BBC Radio 2, its precursor from 1952 was entitled Children's Choice, echoing the weekday Housewives' Choice, [1] then from 1954, Children's Favourites. Do you remember any of the TV programmes I loved as a child? What are your childhood TV favourites? These are the credits to the seventeen programmes on this video, whereas the Pingu episode on this video has one uncredited detail.

The original seasons of John Cunliffe’s show about rural delivery hiccups are far superior to the whizz-bang reboot. Pottering round Greendale with the most relaxed public-sector employee ever and his firmly unmagical cat is an absolute delight. A slide showing 2 children's titles, " Pingu 4 - Pingu the Chef" and " The Very Best of Watch with Mother". Mega Machines 1995 (UK TV Advert) (Short Version) (Out Now on Video) (Out Now on Video from WOOLWORTHS) Fun to Learn Favourites features your children’s best loved TV characters, like the Mr Men, Thunderbirds, PJ Masks, PAW Patrol, Baby Shark, Peppa Pig, Hey Duggee and more!

This is a fabulous programme for teaching young children about various landmarks around the world. In each episode, the Go Jetters and their mentor Ubercorn, a disco-dancing unicorn, have to save a landmark from being damaged or destroyed by Grandmaster Glitch and his Grimbots. Each episode ends with the Go Jetters taking a “souvenir selfie” at the landmark. Jessica was very keen to visit Stonehenge recently because of seeing it on Go Jetters. She wanted to have a souvenir selfie with the Go Jetters too! This deeply funny, sweet show follows Dipper and Mabel – children who are spending summer in the paranormal-incident-bedevilled town of the title. In each episode they grapple with spooky phenomena, while dealing with the usual 12-year-old troubles. Destined to be a classic. All of the best loved BBC characters on one bumper length video. 8 of television's most popular children's characters including Noddy, Pingu, Postman Pat, Fireman Sam and Joshua Jones plus the new Tales of the Tooth Fairies. The Muppets have been entertaining families for generations, and they are the only act featured here to land a Number 1 album. In 1977, The Muppet Show dethroned The Beatles and spawned the Top 10 hit Halfway Down The Stairs. After a 32-year absence, Kermit, Miss Piggy and co. returned to the Top 40 in 2009, teaming with Queen for a cover of Bohemian Rhapsody. Related artists Some of my earliest memories of children’s TV are of watching Rainbow with Geoffrey, Bungle the bear, George the pink hippo and Zippy, the – well, whatever Zippy was. There were songs from Rod, Jane and Freddy and I can also vividly remember singing a rude version of the theme song in the school playground which was the funniest thing ever at the time.

Charlie Chalk, Fireman Sam, Funnybones, Joshua Jones, Noddy, Pingu, Postman Pat, Spider and The Tooth Fairies in 10 OF THEIR GREATEST ADVENTURES! The tale of a teddy bear who was rejected at the toy factory and brought to life by alien Spotty using cosmic dust. Whenever there’s trouble, Superted just said his secret magic word and transformed into a superhero, ready to fight the villains Texas Pete, Skeleton and Bulk. I’ve heard Superted is being remade. It will be interesting to see how it will be changed as a result. The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin Woolworths have specially commissioned this exclusive 40 minute compilation of some of the most Popular Characters on Children's Video. Excerpts include Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends. Sooty & Co., Fourways Farm, Rosie & Jim, The Wind in the Willows, Teddy Bear Sing Along and Brum.At last, all of your friends from Children's Television together on one video with 10 GREAT ADVENTURES! Let's see what they're all doing... Eco-warrior legends The Wombles have an incredible 26 years of history on the Official Chart, and while they haven't manage to net a Number 1, they did collect four Top 10 hits. Wombling Merry Christmas is their highest charting single, peaking at Number 2 in 1974. The Muppets For an introduction to British comedy, few shows can surpass Aardman’s paramount pairing: the optimistic cheese-loving inventor and his eye-rolling beagle. It’s 34 years since A Grand Day Out, but their adventures are as fresh and charming as ever. Noddy is proving himself to be a real friend in NODDY AND THE BROKEN BICYCLE and Pingu and his little sister Pinga are behaving very badly indeed in PINGU AND PINGA AT HOME. Those Funnybones skeletons, Little and Big, are trying to swap Dog for a better pet in THE PET SHOP and little Katie gets the best birthday present in the world in POSTMAN PAT'S FINDING DAY. The Fred Rogers biopic starring Tom Hanks opened eyes worldwide to the Presbyterian minister who became a beloved children’s TV host. Mr Rogers’ Neighborhood, which ran for 33 years, is unpatronising, compassionate TV that treats children with respect.

Animators: Scott Collie, John de Klein, Denis Gonzalez, Bradley Goodchild, Mark Komza, Eva Smith, Justin Wang, Greg Court, Scott Glynn, Melanie Allen, Alan Knappett, Lynn Reist, Mike Tweedle and Jean Pilotte. This era-defining show has broken numerous longest-running TV records since its 1989 debut. The first 10 or 12 seasons hail from a brilliant golden age of US TV: empathetic, funny, exciting and clever all at the same time, with characters that are relatable, inspiring and hilarious. Ken Barrie as Postman Pat, Mrs. Goggins, Ted Glen, Dorothy Thompson, Bill Thompson, Reverend Timms, Mrs. Pottage, Katy and Tom Pottage, Lucy Selby, Sarah Gilbertson, Sam Waldron and Narrator McCulloch made his last broadcast in 1965 and several other presenters were tried including Leslie Crowther. After BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2 were launched, the show was renamed Junior Choice and simultaneously broadcast on both stations and Puffin' Billy was replaced by an instrumental version of the Seekers' hit Morningtown Ride played by Stan Butcher, from his 1966 album a His Birds and Brass, which remained the show's theme until Stewart's last show, the 2015 Christmas Day special. It was then revived on the 2020 and 2021 Christmas Specials with Anneka Rice. [6] [7] Looking like Mr Bean reincarnated as a claymation bird, this resoundingly quirky animation has captured the hearts of multiple generations. It’s a pleasingly retro slice of stop-motion fun that traverses child-pleasing toilet humour and physics-defying absurdity.

CONTACT

Children wrote in with requests often just to get their names mentioned on the radio. McCulloch ensured that all types of music were played whatever the majority had requested: not just children's pieces but a wide range of music from pop to hymns to the light classics. [4] The signature tune until the mid-1960s was Puffin' Billy by Edward White played by the Melodi Light Orchestra. [5] Later versions [ edit ]
