This 6x6 post base requires the following fasteners for installation: (1) – 5/8” concrete anchor, (12) - 16d x 3-1/2” Common Nails or (2) – ½” Machine Bolts (Use nails OR bolts. DO NOT install nails and bolts together!) Shims are required for double 2x (1 shim) and triple 2x (2 shims) installations as shown in the illustration. Additional fastening of shim to beam is not required.
