About this deal

Hypervolt may get away with the fact that it doesn’t really have to be strong because it’s an entry-level device. But even so, those who pay attention to power have the right to be a bit disappointed with this, well, downgrade. The charger looks nice on the wall and the electrical side of the charger seems to work fine (haven't done many charges yet). The experience with Hypervolt prior to installation was positive. Dealing with the technical helpdesk after installation was pretty good too - you just don't want so much of that. Basically, if you want something that works smoothly, reliably and intuitively every time, have a look at the options. The Hypervolt has built-in 6mA DC protection but nobuilt-in AC protection, it must therefore be connected to an individual “A” Type Double Pole RCD or RCBO not exceeding 30mA; complying with IEC61008-1 /IEC61009-1 / IEC60947-2 / IEC62423. When they made Hypervolt Go with a slanted handle, we were hoping that meant a new direction taken for future iterations of their devices. A tilted handle offers a more natural grip. Both these brands have made their devices stand out with proper materials. They feel good to touch with rubberized handles.

In addition failure to adhere to any of the safety precautions, notices, advice and instructions set out in this guide or by other way given in relation to either the installation or operation of this and all other Hypervolt products will invalidate the warranty. Legal Notice For the moment we believe the Therabody app is more complex and nicely done. However, we are sure with time, we’re going to see both brands work to improve the apps. Ekrin 365 still does a better job with a better head travel and decent stall force, but this one isn’t too far off either. The Ball head: The universal massage head used to massage large muscles as well and great for a full body massage as well. If the flat head is too aggressive, the ball head is the go-to attachment. The 2 full-sized Hypervolts are about the same size (7.5” x 2.5” x 9.5”) except that the handle on the 2 Pro is about an inch longer (10.4”). This is good territory for any full-sized massage guns but we’ve seen smaller devices. Our three Hypervolt models (current generation) lined up for a detailed testing. Both brands have equipped their devices with decent batteries. They may not be industry-leading in terms of capacity because brands like Ekrin or Opove have batteries than can last for up to 8 hours on a single charge. There is an LED panel on the front of the unit which illuminates different colours depending on the charging mode. When waiting in standby it’s blue and then changes to green when an EV is plugged in and charging. However, I can see the value of this elite-level recovery tool for those whose full-time job is on the sports field. If you’re striving for marginal gains and have the funds to invest in those small wins, the Hypervolt 2 Pro could well give you the edge over your competition.

Fast forward to 2023, and while many things have changed including the approach of both brands to device design, Theragun’s commitment to percussive therapy remains steadfast, retaining the long amplitude feature. The CT clamp is hard-wired to the Hypervolt via a separate cable or a combined power and data cable like Doncaster Cables EV Ultra can be used. This makes installation more aesthetically pleasing as only a single cable is used. The app walks you through creating a Hypervolt account, after which it scans for your charger which will already be connected to your Wi-Fi. Simply select your charger and your smartphone and charger will sync. However, we like Theragun more because you can easily set custom speeds apart from the fixed 5. That is not the case with Hypervolt. You have the 5 or 3 speeds and that’s it! The pressure sensor is still here, indicated by the 3-level LEDs below the main control button. It’s a good thing to have on any device because you can monitor how much pressure you apply to any muscle. The Hyperice Hypervolt GO 2 is a solid piece of kit. It really is the smaller version of the big Hypervolt 2, and I mean this as a compliment. The main difference between the two – apart from the size, of course – is that the Hypervolt GO 2 has a slightly angled handle. Again another important safety feature as it prevents overload of your electrical supply. The Hypervolt is set to a limit that matches the size of the main incoming supply fuse, it then monitors electricity usage in the home and alters the charge rate to the EV to suit. Your Hypervolt unit and accompanying holster should be fixed between 0.5m and 1.5m above the ground. We recommend the holster position in the diagram is the best place for it relative to the Hypervolt’s position.

Our measurement gave us 12mm on this device. That is a slight improvement from the previous device (it has a 10mm amplitude). This means that the new Hypervolt device is a proper percussive device. Here we measure the Hypervolt 2 amplitude. The 12mm is a much welcomed change (20% increase vs. the previous generation Hypervolt). For Hypervolts, there are 5 attachments for each of the two regular-sized devices. For the Go, there are only 2 attachments included. For Theraguns, there are 4 attachments for Prime, 5 for Elite, 6 for Pro. There are now three attachment for the new Mini 2.0 (the previous mini had only one). With 2700rpm as the maximum hits per minute the intensity has gone down by at least 500rpm (the previous gun had up to 3200rpm). But this modification may be due to the slightly increased amplitude – we see this with a lot of other guns from different brands; Theragun is a good example. The charger comes with Hypervolt’s own cable, called the HyperConnect cable, available as a 4mm CSA 3 core cable in both SWA and non-SWA formats. Above all else the Requirements for Electrical Installations as set out in BS7671 (as amended) must be followed with special attention to section 722. As Theragun Pro, the Achedaway too has a removable battery. To top it all, it’s the quietest gun we’ve come across, which is almost unbelievable given thatthe high-amplitude devices tend to be noisier than their low-amplitude counterparts. Not in this case!
