I don't know for sure but I reckon many couples would be comfortable sitting naked next to each other while watching TV. Beautifully written and romantic but something I cannot relate to as I've never been in that situation with any female ever. Connected to each follicle in the dermis layer is a tiny sebaceous gland that releases sebum onto the hair. Most importantly, the book empowers children to be the best versions of themselves; to have self-love, self-esteem and self-worth, irrespective of their skin colour. It is made mostly of fat and helps your body stay warm and absorb shocks, like if you bang into something or fall down. This is important that every child irrespective of their race, sees a diverse range of children in every day roles, which reflects the lives of black British children on screen and in children’s fiction. This important non-fiction book explores the concept of racism for a young audience, explaining what it is and why it is always wrong.

It examines what makes people unique, from skin colour to family set-up and religious beliefs, emphasising that these differences make the world a richer place and should be celebrated. It was such a pleasure to meet you both, and I really appreciated how smoothly and professionally you ran everything.Overall this book can inspire readers to engage in important conversations and can help to create a more inclusive environment for the future. It is perfect to read at home, and in classrooms, to support your child’s life-long learning journey. Yesterday a parent came over to tell me how impressed she was by the book fair and that you did a fabulous job of selling the books to the children first. Not to an unusual or odd degree, but I feel like some lingering puritan natures were handed down to me, though definitely in a watered-down and tolerant of others form. A new girl joins the class, but the other children laugh and shout at her as she doesn't look like them and speaks a different language.

My Skin, Your Skin by Laura Henry-Allain - Penguin Books

You have hair follicles all over your body, except on your lips, the palms of your hands, and the soles of your feet.

My Skin Your Skin is a powerful book to help children and adults have meaningful discussions about race and anti-racism. Your skin can respond to messages sent out by your hypothalamus (say: hy-po-THAL-uh-mus), the brain's inner thermometer. Once the sweat hits the air, it evaporates (this means that it changes from a liquid to a vapor) off your skin, and you cool down.
