As a result theyre one of the few armies who can be excellent front-line war While Slann are a must for any eventual 2000pt Seraphon army, if you’re starting out with a Carnosaur you’ll find yourself spending all your points on heroes if you take that and a Slann as well, so it’s worth starting small with a Skink Starpriest or Starseer, and investing in the big frog once you start playing larger games. Containing a good mix of strong units, this is an excellent place to start if you want to focus on an army of the little ankle-biters. At Goonhammer we’ve devoted a lot of words to talking about how to compete and take your game to the next level. Use the throne bits from the Troglodon to construct a throne appropriate to the Skink Starseer, and use magnets to attach the Skink from the Carnosaur.Note: this article was made prior to the December 2019 points update, so some points could have changed there. Hint: buff the Clawed Forelimbs with the Oldblood's Ancient Warlord Command Ability, and buff the Oldblood with the Scar-Veteran's Saurian Savagery.

For the rest of each miniature, I tried to cram in as many different colours as possible to attract the eye as much as I could. Alongside the new battletome and scenery kit, you’ll want to grab a pack of Warscroll Cards and tokens to keep track of in-game effects and unit profiles. This list takes full advantage of Koatl’s Claw’s abilities, with a big block of Saurus escorted by a Starpriest to hand out magical buffs and a Scar Veteran rampaging across the battlefield on a Carnosaur throwing out their own command ability between both the warriors and the knights accompanying them. Full assembly instructions, available in PDF format as a free digital download sent straight to your inbox. If you are looking to start Seraphon, probably look elsewhere or wait for the battletome to see if the units in this box becomes any good. Almost the entire range survived the journey across the stars from Warhammer Fantasy to Age of Sigmar, what results is a plethora of options of powerful heroes, infantry, monsters and cavalry and many of them can be your battleline choices. Saurus Guard get no model-count bonuses or Horde discount, so I'm going to need a big single-unit buff to justify running them outside of minimum size units, which might encourage me to get a second Saurus Guard box to run one 20-model unit alongside two 5-model units, or three 10-model units.

You can throw the Saurus Warrior Horde in any Seraphon list, and it will do wonderful things for you. Build one Saurus Hero on Foot, magnetized to represent either the Saurus Oldblood or Saurus Sunblood, using the bits leftover from the Troglodon kit. The Saurus Knights are very good in 'Multiple Small Units', as they deal enough damage on their own to outperform Saurus Warriors under 30 models, while being quite a bit faster, when you compare equivalent points costs (200 pts. Again very simple this one, standard warrior with Saurus Knight champions head, Mace weapon in right hand and use the spare Carny top head piece as his shield, shoulder armour from the warriors sprue. I also converted some Blood Bowl Saurus and Skinks , making sure to equip them with more armour and fancy weapons to fit in with the rest of the force.Don’t forget to pack 10 Saurus warriors in your case in case your engine of the gods summons them in! There are several weapons options and decorations on this sprue, some of which are for units that no longer exist in Age of Sigmar.

Once fully dry take your finishing putty/clay (im using greenstuff) and apply enough to cover one side, apply to the thickness of the scales, pic below. You can pick up a second box of Saurus Warriors, to run your 40-model unit alongside two 10-model units, in a Sunclaw Starhost. You’ll often find that you’re halving the damage output of elite units like Morsarr Guard as their spears go down to only 1 damage, it’s great! Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.

Only 3 of the clubs resemble the polearms from Saurus Guard, so you may look to other bits for an appropriate polearm head. I came up with the idea of really exaggerating their technology, as seen on the Slann Mage-Priest’s throne and the Bastiladon Solar Engine. I'm going to approach two-box optimization from the view that I want to not only have a variety of models in my collection, but have a variety of point-costs to build lists with. One Saurus Astrolith Bearer from the last Saurus Warrior model, with kitbash from your now-massive Seraphon bits collection.
